Lady Penh's Hill

The aforementioned good Lady Penh liked what she saw when she climbed the hill and looked at the area which was to become the future capital city of Cambodia. With the Tonle Sap river meeting the Mekong, it most certainly is a beautiful spot.

Unfortunately, the recent past has left an ugly scar on the city and the nation...

which is very evident when visiting the site of one of the Khmer Rouges' notorious killing fields.
