Marc was determined to climb a mountain, but unfortunately, the weather wasn't playing ball with us.

So he had to settle for a tame walk with me towards a glacier lake - very enjoyable and very cold.

We then made for the coastal town of Dunedin, stopping off to see the Moeraki Boulders en route.

These weird boulders haven't been deposited on the beach by aliens or ancient gods. Instead, they have emerged from the cliffs as they have been eroded by the sea. And weirdly, they have a honeycombed inside. Marc, frustrated that he hadn't managed to climb a mountain yet, decided to sprint across them...oh well, whatever makes him happy ;)
