Day 5 of the Pachamama tour..
And definitely our best day of the trip! Not only did we get a chance to see some of the weirdest landscape in the world (the salt flats), but we also got to experience the most magnificant sunset we have ever seen at the Flamingo National Park.
There are three types of Flamingos in the park: The Andean, The James and the Chilean.
We were hard pressed to tell the difference between them. Nevertheless, here are three really weird Flamingo facts just for fun:
* Flamingos probably stand on one leg to conserve energy, although scientists cannot say this for sure.
* In ancient Rome, flamingo tongues were considered a delicacy.
* Andean miners used to kill flamingos for their fat, believing it to be a cure for tuberculosis.
