Rain, rain...EVERWHERE!!!

Determined not to let the rain get to us, we set out for a 12km hike (or tramp as they call it here) along the coast through the Abel Tasman National Park.

Abel Tasman is one of the most popular national parks in NZ, even though it's one of the smallest.

And it's not suprising because it is gorgeous! But, as you can see from the photos, the weather did get the better of us eventually and we were keen to get back to warmth and dryness as soon as possible.

So after catching a water taxi back to Marahau, we headed straight back to Nelson, a good going town about 50kms away, and that night, treated ourselves to a pizza (one of the best yet on our travels) and a movie...the Simpsons.
